State police charge Ogdensburg man with driving while impaired on June 21

OGDENSBURG -- State police have charged an Ogdensburg man with driving while impaired after initiating a traffic stop June 21 on State Highway 37.
Police say Glenn Sanders Jr., 28, committed multiple vehicle and traffic law violations prior to the stop.
While being interviewed, police say Sanders Jr. showed signs of impairment.
He later failed field sobriety test as well, police say.

A preliminary breath test was administered indicating no presence of alcohol, so a drug recognition expert responded to SP Ogdensburg for an evaluation, police say. Sanders provided a blood sample and was subsequently charged with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs 1st.
He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Ogdensburg Court for a later date in July.
