BY ADAM ATKINSONNorth Country This WeekPOTSDAM — The village board has accepted two expected resignations and approved probationary appointments.
At a special board meeting held July 9, the mayor and trustees approved the resignation of Matthew Kroeger, Potsdam Fire Department fire driver, effective July 18.
The board passed a resolution approving the appointment of Scott Grant of Norwood to the position of fire vehicle driver with the fire department.
Grant will be paid a salary of $24.23 per hour. The appointment was effective July 11 with the probationary period not to exceed 12 months.
Later at the board’s regular meeting on July 15, the resignation of DPW motor equipment operator Jay Bradish was approved, effective July 19.
The board then approved the probationary appointment of Ronald Addison of Ogdensburg to the position of water and wastewater treatment operator trainee with a salary of $26.51 per hour effective Aug. 5. Addison's probationary period will not exceed one year.
