To the Editor:
I am not condemning the parade or the workers but I do find it funny that Massena has excluded certain working class people from the picnic. I thought Labor Day was for all working people, not just unions. I didn’t know it was union day. I thought it was Labor Day.
I do think it's unfair to pick and choose who you want to invite to the picnic and who can march in the parade. I find it offensive to segregate certain people while others get to enjoy it. Who made that decision who can attend and who can’t.
It’s too bad that some think they are better than others because they are union. Just saying. It should be solidarity for all unions or not. The non-union people work just as hard as the union ones. Please in the future consider all the people of Massena and not the select few.
