St. Lawrence County Legislator Jim Reagen spoke at a public hearing regarding North Star Health Alliances plan to close clinics, abandon nuclear medicine and shutdown labor and delivery services in St. Lawrence County. The meeting drew more than 300 people with nearly every speaker opposed to the plan, which is subject to approval by the Department of Health. Reagen called on the state to step in an support the North Country. He said we've already closures of maternity and delivery services in Gouverneur and Massena. "Now, they've come for us,” he said.
