Joseph J. "JJ" Belile, 40, Massena

MASSENA -- Joseph J. “JJ” Belile, 40, of East Orvis Street, unexpectedly passed away May 15, 2024, at his home.

JJ was born February 29, 1984, in Massena, the son of Laurie Hebert and the late Waide J. Belile.

He attended schools in Massena and worked for a time at Osmose. In November 2022, he married Madayzia Russell in Massena.

JJ enjoyed collecting cards, playing video games, and being outdoors, camping and barbequing. He was also an artist and greatly enjoyed singing.

JJ is survived by wife, Madayzia and their 10 week old daughter, Alessandra; twin daughters, Saphire and Sopia Hunter, age 3; his mother, Laurie Hebert; his chosen father who assisted in raising him, Kirby Garrow of Akwesasne; his maternal grandparents, Cecil and Carolyn Spinner of Massena; his brothers, Christopher Belile of Malone and Jared Garrow of Massena; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, however, there will be no services at this time.

A celebration of life will be held at a time to be announced in June.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Emmanuel Congregational United Church of Christ Memorial Fund.
