NEWTOWN FALLS -- A Harrisville man has been charged following a high speed pursuit with State Police.
According to troopers, Brian A. Deamer, 42, was charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, Possession of Burglar’s Tools, and Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree.
Police say they responded to the Newtown Falls Papermill, County Route 60 in Pitcairn, for a report of suspicious activity around 3:40 a.m. on Sept. 24.
Police say they observed a 2004 Nissan Tita exiting the property near a large pile of scrap metal, at which time they initiated a traffic stop.

According to troopers, the suspect failed to comply and a pursuit was initiated, continuing through Fine, Edwards and Pitcairn before the vehicle came to a stop on Toohaker Road, a dead-end roadway.
Police took the operator into custody and were able to identify him as Deamer.
An investigation was undertaken, leading to the recovery of multiple items of evidence from the scene, officials said.
Deamer was transported to SP Gouverneur, where he was processed. He was arraigned in the Town of Pitcairn Court and released on his own recognizance.
