To the Editor:
We are dependent on the quality reporting of the North Country News to provide us with knowledge of area events.
With this in mind, it was thoroughly disappointing that the exceptional 250 year history program was absent from your reporting and coverage.
This program provided by the DeKalb Historical Association and town historian Bryan Thompson provided excellent hands-on opportunities across many ages missing in online and other lecture programs. It was staffed by the historian and other retired and current teachers as well as people with other skills.
It allowed for an improved understanding and appreciation of life skills at the time of the Revolutionary War, and by all accounts by the participants and their families was thoroughly enjoyed. The model hopefully to be built upon for future programs.
In the future I hope that upcoming information provided to your service will not be ignored allowing for other area people to be able to take advantage and benefit from the excellence and fun.
