LISBON — A cow allegedly caused the death of a worker at Flack Farm in Lisbon on Sunday, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Flor Lopez, 28, was attending to a newborn calf when a nearby cow charged at her, striking her multiple times, officers said.
Lopez was taken to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, where she died because of her injuries, deputies said.
The death is being investigated as accidental.
Deputies said their investigation is ongoing, with an autopsy planned soon to determine the exact cause of death.
