Brasher Falls student-athlete on College Sports Communicators At-Large Academic All-District Team

POTSDAM – A student-athlete from Brasher Falls was named to the College Sports Communicators At-Large Academic All-District Team. The teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom. 

Drew Rose is a member of the SUNY Potsdam men’s hockey team and lacrosse team.

Rose captained the hockey team while playing defense and was a standout midfielder for the lacrosse team this year. On the ice, the junior captain played in every game and was fifth in scoring with two goals and eight assists for 10 points. He has 10 goals and 20 assists for 30 points in 70 hockey contests in three years. On the turf, Rose was fourth in scoring with a career-high 40 points on 24 goals and 16 assists. He has compiled 90 points in three seasons on 58 goals and 32 assists. He also has 49 ground balls and eight caused turnovers.

To be eligible for a nomination, athletes need to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA, be a sophomore and have participated in at least 90 percent of their team's contests or started in 66 percent.
