To the Editor:
As a resident of St. Lawrence County District 11, I want to share information about a new candidate running on the Democratic line: Amber Spinner.
Amber is a well-regarded local music teacher who previously worked at Brushton-Moira Central School and now teaches at Lawrence Avenue Elementary in Potsdam. She is a member of NYSUT and has received endorsements from Eleanor’s Legacy, Patriot PAC NY, and the Central Trades & Labor Council.
Through her work with families, Amber has seen firsthand how childcare availability and rising costs affect households. She has expressed interest in supporting working families, small businesses, the arts, and education. She has also emphasized transparency and ensuring that community members feel heard.
Amber has helped organize the Turn Up the Vote event at Heartwood Hall in Potsdam, scheduled for October 2nd from 6–10 PM. The event will feature live music, candidate remarks, and opportunities to meet local candidates for New York State Representative, New York State Senate and Assembly, Supreme Court, and the County Legislature.
