POTSDAM -- Trillium Wellness will host a fall festival and fundraiser in the Trillium Wellness and Community Center, Potsdam Presbyterian Church, 42 1/2 Elm St., on Saturday, Oct. 3.
From 2-5 p.m., there will be an open house with teachers and healing arts practitioners on hand to talk about their classes and services.
Offerings at Trillium include a variety of yoga classes, Pilates classes, Tai Chi, Sunday Zazen, Recovery Dharma, and a monthly sound bath. Individual services include licensed massage therapy, mental health therapy, physical therapy, and Reiki.
Practitioners of these services will also be available to speak with.
Attendees can sign up for a free sound bath and yoga nidra relaxation session that will start at 4 p.m.
During the open house, a silent auction will be offered.
Auction items will include: a painting by well know local artist, Becky Harblin and a second painting by local artist Renee Stauffer, gift baskets, 1 hour sessions for Reiki and Ayurveda, coupons for a month-long introduction to Tai Chi classes with North Country Tai Chi, a gift certificate to the restaurant 11 West, and more.
The event will mark the culmination of an on-going envelope challenge, where people have been offering donations.
From 5:30-7 p.m. a dinner will be offered with a suggested donation of $25 per person.
The menu will include three types of lasagna, vegan/vegetarian main dishes, salad, rolls, and a variety of desserts.
All proceeds from the fall festival and fundraiser will go towards extensive building renovation needs for Trillium Wellness and Community Center at the Potsdam Presbyterian Church.
