Another unseasonably warm day will end with increasing clouds and late, light showers across the St. Lawrence Valley, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Highs today will be in the low 70s, the service says, possibly the last day in the 70s this year. Overnight lows will be around 46 with light rain.
Dry and seasonable weather is expected through the bulk of the weekend, NWS says. Following widespread rain Sunday night into Monday, a pattern change to cooler and cloudy weather will take place.
The extended forecast through next Thursday is as follows:

Sunny, with a high near 66. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Mostly clear, with a low around 43. Light and variable wind.
Sunday
A 30 percent chance of showers after 5pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 70. South wind 5 to 10 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Sunday Night
Showers, mainly after 7pm. Low around 51. South wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Showers likely, mainly before 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 62. Southwest wind 8 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
