MADRID — The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce will host its seventh annual Craft, Food & Wine Open-Air Market on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the St. Lawrence Power & Equipment Museum in Madrid.

Vendor applications are currently being accepted for this highly desirable one-day shopping event. Regional artisans, farm producers, and specialty food makers offering handmade or value-added goods are encouraged to apply soon.

Considered the official launch of the North Country holiday shopping season, the event traditionally draws thousands of regional shoppers seeking unique, locally made products. Over 80 vendors will be situated along the living history museum's "streets" and historic exhibit buildings, creating an interactive outdoor market experience.

"This market has grown into a cornerstone event for both regional makers and local shoppers," said Tom Graser, Community and Membership Relations Manager for the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce. "It provides small businesses and artisans an unmatched platform to reach thousands of customers in a single day, while giving attendees an early start on their holiday shopping with authentic North Country products."

Attendees will find a wide range of goods, including local wines, spirits, farm-fresh honey, baked goods, artisan soaps, woodwork, pottery, metalwork, jewelry, and handcrafted gifts.

Admission is $5 per person, with children ages 12 and under admitted free. Parking and entrance areas are located near Fort Tribute at 1755 State Route 345 in Madrid. Volunteers from the St. Lawrence Power & Equipment Museum will provide free golf cart shuttle service between parking areas and the market grounds. A dedicated drop-off and pick-up loop with handicap accessible parking will also be available near the main entrance.

Food concessions will open at 11 a.m. at the museum pavilion, featuring traditional favorites alongside local food trucks. Coffee and donuts will be available starting when gates open at 10 a.m.

The 2026 event is presented with support from major sponsors, including SeaComm Federal Credit Union, Tapestry Treasures, St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union, and Bill Rapp Chevrolet of Ogdensburg.

Artisans and producers interested in applying for vendor space, as well as shoppers looking for event details, can access the online application and event updates at https://tinyurl.com/stlcopenairmarket or by calling the Chamber office at 315-386-4000.
