GOUVERNEUR — SLICFiber has made a donation of $17,525 to the Gouverneur Breast and Ovarian Cancer Fund, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting local communities through its growing #FiberOfHope initiative.
The fund provides direct financial assistance to breast and ovarian cancer patients across St. Lawrence, Franklin, Jefferson, and Lewis counties.
Since February 4, 2026, SLICFiber has pledged $25 from every new fiber installation to cancer charities within its expanding service footprint. The program keeps charitable dollars local while raising awareness and showing solidarity with individuals and families affected by cancer.
As part of the initiative, SLICFiber introduced a custom-engineered pink fiberoptic drop cable, developed in collaboration with Sterlite Technologies Inc. (STI), a U.S. subsidiary of STL. The bright pink cable features a specially designed outer jacket that meets the same durability and performance standards as traditional fiber drops, serving as a visible symbol of support for cancer patients and their families.
