POTSDAM -- Through the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) Statewide Community Regrants Program, the North Country receives over $160,000 annually for arts programming.
The St. Lawrence County Arts Council (SLC Arts) administers this program in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties, as well as Akwesasne.
The SCR program offers three grant opportunities for individual artists, New York State registered non-profits, government entities, Tribal nations, and unincorporated collectives:
Throughout October and November, SLC Arts will offer info sessions that will cover eligibility and fundable expenses, and explain the application and evaluation processes.
There will be 12 live sessions and four virtual sessions.
Pre-registration is required.
To register, visit slcartscouncil.org/grants. All new applicants are required to attend an info session or meet with the grants manager before submitting an application.
The 2027 grant cycle will open Thursday, Oct. 1, at which time online guidelines and applications will be live at slcartscouncil.org/grants.
The application deadline is Thursday, Dec. 15, with a Dec. 1 draft review deadline.
Funding is for projects taking place in 2027.
