A native of Ogdensburg, she received her juris doctor degree from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and her bachelor of science in political science from Clarkson University. Geary is also a graduate of The Clarkson School, Clarkson's early college program.
Geary has experience in a variety of legal fields. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and practices law at her firm, the Law Office of Amanda Geary, in Ogdensburg.
She has written articles for NNY Business Magazine and the New York Law Journal.
Geary is a member of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, the Ogdensburg Area Zonta Club, the Clarkson Greek Alumni Council, the Ogdensburg City Arts Council, the Seaway Valley Prevention Council Board, the New York State Bar Association, the St. Lawrence County Bar Association, and the Ogdensburg city recreation committee.
She previously served as a social service attorney at the St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services.
