Wednesday, August 7
David W. Rickett, 52, Gouverneur, Charged at 3:33 PM for Passed Red Signal. The subject did pass a red traffic signal on West Main Street in the Village of Gouverneur. Defendant after being stopped on Clinton Street was issued a uniform traffic ticket for Passed Red Signal returnable to the Gouverneur Town Court.
Thursday, August 8
Amr H. Albadani, 25, Brooklyn, Arrested at 4:17 PM for Criminal Possession of Marijuana 3rd. The defendant was found in criminal possession of marijuana over 16 oz located at Luxury Smoke Shop, 101 East Main Street Gouverneur after a search warrant was conducted. Office of Cannabis Management was notified during the execution of the search warrant and shut the business down. The defendant was issued an appearance ticket with a Gouverneur Town Court date.

Sunday, August 11
John J. Crook, 42, Gouverneur, arrested at 10:11AM for Grand Larceny 4th (felony) and Petit Larceny. Defendant stole a Chase debit card from Kinney Drugs Store parking lot on August 2nd, 2024. The defendant proceeded to use the card at the 7 Eleven convenience store at 238 West Main Street in the village purchasing merchandise totaling $16.22. The defendant was processed and released with an appearance ticket with a Gouverneur Town Court date.
Tuesday, August 13
Susan J. Finch, 66, Gouverneur, charged at 1:01 PM for Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident. This department received a report of a property damage accident occurring at Save a Lot in the parking lot; investigation revealed the subject did strike a vehicle causing damage and failed to report said accident. The subject was issued a uniform traffic ticket with a Gouverneur Town Court date.
John Doe, NY - Subject was taken into custody for an emergency mental health admission pursuant to the New York State Mental Hygiene Law. Subject was transported to Claxton Hepburn Hospital.

Thursday, August 15
Dawn L. Farley, 54, Gouverneur, Arrested at 11:35 AM for DWI-previous conviction in 10 years (felony), DWAI, and Failure to Used Designated Lane. The defendant was involved in a personal injury motor vehicle accident. During the investigation of the accident the defendant was found to be impaired by alcohol and provided a positive breath sample. Defendant was previously convicted of DWI within the last ten years. Defendant was released with appearance tickets with a Gouverneur Town Court date.

John Doe, NY - Subject was taken into custody for an emergency mental health admission pursuant to the New York State Mental Hygiene Law. Subject was transported to Claxton Hepburn Hospital.
Monday, August 19
Trent E. Terry, 24, Gouverneur, Arrested at 7:41 AM for Sex Offender Reg Violation (felony). On the 15th of August 2024, the Gouverneur Police Department assisted New York State Parole with the defendant, a designated level 1 sex offender, who failed to notify/register two email addresses violating his conditions. Defendant was processed and released with an appearance ticket for the Town of Gouverneur Court. Defendant was turned over to Parole Officer Delano.

Kane A. Juntunen, 47, Gouverneur, Arrested at 4:52 PM for Harassment 2ND Physical Contact. The defendant grabbed the victim’s arm in the Price Chopper parking lot during a verbal argument. Defendant was issued an appearance ticket with a Gouverneur Town Court date.
Thursday, August 22
Chauncey J. Pray, 34, Gouverneur, Arrested at 11:24 AM for Suspended Registration, No Insurance, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation Second, Failure to notify DMV Change of Address, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7TH. The defendant was observed to be operating a motor vehicle on Prospect Street knowing the registration was suspended for insurance lapse. Further investigation revealed that the defendant had a suspended New York Non-Driver ID only. The defendant was also found to be in possession of a crystal-like substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine. Defendant was issued appearance tickets with a Gouverneur Town Court date.

Aliza A. Larock, 34, Gouverneur, Arrested at 8:44 PM for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd. Defendant was operating a motor vehicle on West Main Street with a suspended New York driver’s license. Defendant was issued a uniform traffic ticket with a Gouverneur Town Court date.
Thursday, August 29
Tabitha L. New, 35, Gouverneur, Arrested at 2:50 PM for Attempted Assault 2nd (felony), Menacing 2nd -weapon, Assault 3rd and 2 counts of Acting in Manner Injurious to a Child. Defendant was involved in a physical domestic at 15 Johnstown St Gouverneur on 08/09/2024 with a 16-year-old child. Defendant is alleged to have bitten the 16-year-old on the right shoulder and tried stabbing the 16-year-old twice with a knife. The defendant was arraigned at the Gouverneur Town Court and released with a return Gouverneur Town Court date.
Saturday, August 31
Juvenile Male, 17, Gouverneur, Arrested at 3:18 PM for Burglary 2ND (felony), Criminal Mischief 3rd (felony), Assault 3rd, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Respondent arrested on the above charges following an investigation of an assault. Respondent did knowingly enter a dwelling by damaging the screen door causing over $300 in damages. The respondent then punched the victim, being 15 years old, several times in the face with a closed fist for which the victim sought medical treatment for a broken nose. Respondent was arraigned in the Gouverneur Town Court and was referred to the Saint Lawrence County Youth Part Court on a later date. A stay away order of protection was issued for the victim.
Sunday, September 1
Shayne D. Miller, 34, Edwards, Arrested at 11:02 AM for Harassment 2nd (Physical contact). Defendant did strike the victim in the left cheek with a closed fist one time causing the victim to lose his balance and fall back into a chair while at the Stewart’s shop on 90 W. Main St. on July 16,2024. Defendant was issued an appearance ticket with a Gouverneur Town Court date.
Draven N. Parker, 22, Gouverneur, Charged at 12:32 PM for No Motorcycle plate, Unlicensed operator, Unregistered motorcycle and Operating without insurance. Subject was found on East Main Street following a reckless operation/speeding complaint. The subject was issued uniformed traffic tickets with a Gouverneur Town Court date.
Alan G. Bigwarfe, 56, Gouverneur, Arrested at 2:30 PM for Criminal Contempt 1st (felony). Defendant violated a stay away order of protection by engaging in a conversation with the protected party at Stewart’s convenient shop on 90 West Main Street on July 16th, 2024. Defendant was processed at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility and issued a Gouverneur Town Court date.

Shay M. Sanders, 24, Gouverneur, Arrested at 3:46 PM for Criminal Mischief 3rd (felony). On the 22nd day of August 2024 at around 2:45 AM the defendant threw a weighted vest through the front window of Jone’s Farm Supply on Clinton Street breaking the window. Defendant was issued an appearance ticket with a Gouverneur Town Court date.

Gregory R. Fifield, 37, Gouverneur, Arrested at 9:25 AM for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation – 2nd Degree and Leaving the Scene Property Damage Accident. Defendant arrested on the above charges following a hit and run accident. The defendant was involved in a property damage accident and left the scene. Further investigation revealed that the defendant has a suspended New York State driver’s license. Defendant was issued uniform traffic tickets with a Gouverneur Town Court date.
