Denille L. Dillabough, 75, Massena

MASSENA: Denille L. Dillabough, 75, of Malby Street, passed away on May 13, 2024, at Massena Hospital.

Denille was born on August 19, 1948, in Watertown, daughter of the late Orra and Beverly (Viau) Mitchell.

She graduated from Massena Central School and later married Richard Dillabough on August 13, 1966, at Calvary Baptist Church in Massena.

Denille worked as an RN at Massena Memorial Hospital in the Maternity Department and retired after 40 years as the Director of Infectious Disease Control.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Massena and enjoyed knitting, watching TV, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Denille is survived by her husband, Richard; two children, Shannon (Keshia) Dillabough and Darcy Dillabough, both of Massena; seven grandchildren, Trista LaDue, Shea Marashain, Bailey, Isaiah and Madalyn Dillabough, Micki Sheehan, Sideris Pappas and Payton Conyea; one great-grandchild, Aaliyah McCray; three brothers, William (Cora) Mitchell of FL, Randy Mitchell of Massena and Scott (Janice) Mitchell of ME.

Besides her parents, Orra and Beverly, she was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Jackie Mitchell.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00 pm and 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home in Massena.

A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 pm with Pastor Colin Lucid presiding.

Burial will take place in Pine Gove Cemetery Area 2, Norfolk, on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.

A celebration of life will follow the burial at the VFW beginning at noon, all are welcome.

Memorial contributions in Denille’s name may be made to Hospice and Palliative care of St. Lawrence Valley.
