David D. Lauson, 59, Ogdensburg

OGDENSBURG - Funeral services for David D. Lauson, age 59, of Ogdensburg, will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 1:30PM at Frary Funeral Home with Deacon Dave Demers officiating. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 12:00PM up until the time of the service.

Mr. Lauson passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center after a long, hard battle with cancer.

He is survived by his son, Andrew Lauson and his wife Brittney, of Norfolk; his grandchildren, Gunner, Gianna, and Dominic Lauson, of Norfolk; his siblings, Diana Swanson and her husband Jeff, of Cape Coral, FL, Cindy Lauson and her wife Melinda Mang, of Buffalo, Martha Jenner, of Ogdensburg, and Marc Lauson and his companion Shelli Waluk, of Cape Coral, FL; his nephew, Joel Lauson; and his niece, Danielle Carpenter.

He is predeceased by his parents and his sibliings, Mary LaFlamme and Albert Lauson Jr.

David was born on October 24, 1964, in Ogdensburg, NY, the son of the late Albert and Mari Remi LaFlam. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1982. David worked at ACCO International and later the Defelsko Corporation for many years as a shipper.

David was a devoted family man and passionate sports enthusiast. A diehard Montreal Canadiens fan, he dedicated countless hours to coaching minor league hockey while also cheering on his favorite football team, the Buffalo Bills. He cherished time spent with his grandchildren, creating joyful memories, and found great pleasure in listening to live music and attending concerts.

David adored his dog, Deuce, and loved fishing on the St. Lawrence River. In his later years, he developed a passion for photography, capturing the beauty of the river. His vibrant spirit and love for life will always be remembered.
