LISBON -- A Celebration of Life for Daniel A. Stone, 77, of Lisbon will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Doug’s Tavern in Heuvelton.
Mr. Stone died on Sunday, October 6th, 2024, at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center.
Arrangements are under the direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.
Daniel A. Stone was born on August 1, 1947, in Ogdensburg, NY.
He was the son of the late George and Mildred (Masters) Stone.
He was a graduate of Heuvelton Central School.
On March 14, 1970, he married Kathie Blood Arnold at Notre Dame Church. Their marriage would end in divorce, but they remained good friends.
He worked as a furnace service technician for the Augsbury Corporation, self employed for a time and finally for Agway, from where he would retire.
Daniel was a member of the Heuvelton Amvets, enjoyed spending time with friends at Doug’s Tavern.
He enjoyed going to his camp, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his children, Jodi Morgan and her husband, Darrell of Kingman, AZ, Lisa Mountz of Mesa, AZ, Daniel Stone of Winthrop, NY, and Scott Stone and his husband, Patrick of Gilbert, AZ.; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; along with his sisters, Ethel Burkhardt of Tennessee and Joann Nagy of Florida.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Danielle Hampton.
