GOUVERNEUR – A Gouverneur man was jailed after allegedly stealing a vehicle and driving it to Sandy Creek, according to village police.
Alexander C. Johnson, 24, arrested Sept. 21 at 11:47 a.m. for second-degree grand larceny: Property Value over $50,000, felony, officers said.
Troopers say that Johnson allegedly stole a green 2023 Ford Explorer on Sept. 20 at approximately 9:30 p.m., the defendant did steal a green 2023 Ford Explorer valued at $50,240 from 26 Pearl Street without the victim’s permission and drove the said vehicle to 2148 County Route 15, Sandy Creek, N.Y.
She was arraigned in front of Judge Stan Young and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $15,000 cash and $30,000 bond.
