MASSENA - The family of Mary Anne (Ahlfeld) Butler sadly shares her passing on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 in St. George Utah.
Mary Anne was born in Massena NY on October 13, 1951 to the late Scotty and Connie (Lamanna) Ahlfeld. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Bob Butler, son Jason, and cherished granddaughters Amelia and Gloria. She is also survived by her brothers, Rick (Donna Jacoby) Ahlfeld and Tim (Kathy) Ahlfeld both of Massena, NY, and sister Judy Seil of Rochester, NY. Mary Anne was a beloved aunt to Bob Ahlfeld, Nick (Karen) Ahlfeld, Jessica Ahlfeld, Samantha Ahlfeld, Tim (Katie) Seil, Andy (Gabby) Seil. And great-aunt to Scotty and JJ Ahlfeld, Charlotte Ahlfeld, and Nolan Seil.
Mary Anne attend Sacred Heart and graduated from Holy Family in 1969. She graduated from Powelson's Business Institute and spent her career as a medical secretary.
Mary Anne and Bob travelled the globe with Bob's various Air Force assignments in Arizona, New Mexico, South Dakota, Korea, Germany and finally in Las Vegas. Upon retirement they moved to St. George Utah where they enjoyed skiing, golf and bowling.
Mary Anne battled MS bravely for over 40 years with never a complaint. She golfed up until two years ago and always had a positive attitude. She will be missed by her family and friends and remembered for her strength and courage.
