GOUVERNEUR -- A Gouverneur man was arrested following an incident at Gouverneur Middle School Oct. 6, according to village police.

Wayne C. Simmons, 44, Gouverneur, was charged at 7:33 a.m. with third-degree criminal trespass: School, disorderly conduct: Fighting behavior and resisting arrest, police said.

Simmons reportedly was criminally trespassing and being disorderly by yelling in a threatening manner at Gouverneur Middle School officials in front of the school’s entrance.
