GOUVERNEUR -- A dispute over a tuna can thrown onto someone's property resulted in a felony for a Gouverneur man Oct. 5, according to village police.

Cory R. Camidge, 34, was charged at 4:58 p.m. with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felony, second-degree menacing and littering, officers said.

He was arrested following a police investigation of a littering complaint Sept. 20. Camidge allegedly threw a tuna can onto the victim’s property and when confronted by the victim, Camidge displayed a 7-9 inch camo blade hunting knife.

While brandishing the weapon, he was reportedly yelling at the victim “come at me.”.

Camidge was arraigned in Gouverneur court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility without bail.
