County Sheriff's deputies endorse Webster for county legislature

CANTON - The St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office Deputies Association has endorsed Glenn Webster to represent the 15th legislative district on the county legislature, representing Stockholm and part of Potsdam.

“We of the St. Lawrence County Deputies Association, representing the Road Patrol Deputies and Detectives of the Sheriff's Office, are proud to give our support to St. Lawrence County Legislator candidate Glenn Webster for election to the District 11 seat,” according to Arthur Shattuck, Union President. “Glenn Webster is a lifelong St. Lawrence County resident. Glenn graduated high school in 1984 from Norwood/Norfolk school. Glenn owns and operates three businesses in St. Lawrence County.”

“With the knowledge he has gained from owning and operating the three businesses, Glenn brings a valuable asset to the county government,” Shattuck said. “Glenn has also served 4 years on the Village of Norwood board where his term ended in 2022. Glenn did not run for re-election as he started his campaign for the District 11 seat. “

“We believe that this is who the people of St. Lawrence County need in the capacity of a Legislator. Someone who is invested in the county, community oriented, and willing to listen to those who need to be heard,” said Shattuck. “Join us in voting for Glenn Webster for St. Lawrence County Legislator.”

“I am very proud that the St. Lawrence County Deputies Association has chosen to endorse my candidacy,” said Webster. “The Road Patrol and the Detectives are on the front line of the criminal justice system in the North Country. They see first hand how the revolving door of the court system is putting criminals back on the streets to prey on our families. As a legislator, I will be working hand in hand with our deputies to make sure that the drug task force and other agencies receive the resources they need to get these drug dealers out of our rural neighborhoods.”
