MASSENA – The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will hold its annual Wildlife Festival Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Frank S. McCullough Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center, 21 Hawkins Point Rd.
The admission-free event will feature fun for the entire family with exhibits of live animals, nature displays, arts, crafts, food and entertainment.
The World of Wildlife and Educational Encounters (WOWEE) volunteers will bring a variety of exotic and endangered animals for two educational shows, at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The volunteers will be on-hand to answer questions.
Representatives from the Nicandri Nature Center and Reptiles Forever will be back at the Wildlife Festival.
There will be insects and reptiles, a petting zoo with farm animals, craft projects, wagon rides, a 3-D archery exhibit and birds of prey on display.
Admission is free and parking is available.
The event will be held rain or shine.
