GOUVERNEUR – November is National Family Caregivers Month and Kinney Drugs is marking the occasion with a series of four free virtual “Lunch & Learn” webinars to inform and support the family caregivers who keep our communities running.
The four-part series kicks off Oct. 28 and continues on consecutive Wednesdays through Nov. 18. Each webinar will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Caregivers may register for one session, several, or all four at www.kinneydrugs.com/webinars.
“Caregiving has become a defining experience for families across Kinney's footprint,” said Judy Cowden, Senior Director of Marketing for Kinney Drugs. “In Upstate New York alone, more than one million people serve as caregivers for aging parents, spouses, children, or loved ones with disabilities or chronic conditions.”
Caregiving can be rewarding, but it is also frequently physically, emotionally, and financially demanding. To help manage those challenges, Kinney Drugs has partnered with AARP, the Alzheimer's Association, David's Refuge, and Upstate Poison Center to offer these educational webinars.
2026 Caregiver “Lunch & Learn” Webinar Series Schedule:
Wednesday Oct. 28, – Caring for a Loved One – Tips & Tools with AARP
Wednesday Nov. 4, – Understanding Alzheimer's & Dementia with the Alzheimer's Association
Wednesday Nov. 11, – Caregiver Burnout with David's Refuge
Wednesday Nov. 18, – Caregiving & Medication Safety with Upstate Poison Center
Registration is free and open to the public at www.kinneydrugs.com/webinars.
