To the Editor:

Times are changing! Technology is changing at rates that are difficult to keep up with. St. Lawrence County, as well as many other counties, need to include the younger generations’ perspective on politics and government.

This is particularly true for Massena‘s district 7, (polling location, Grace United Methodist Church Rt. 37 )…and St. Lawrence counties District 13, which includes East Massena, Brasher, Lawrence. Specific Maps are found at www.stlawco.gov or by visiting the St. Lawrence County governmental offices in Canton New York.

I would like voters in Massena district 7, and St. Lawrence County district 13 to strongly consider Setcher Krywanczyk for St. Lawrence County legislator to represent  these districts November 3, 2026.

Setcher was raised and has lived in this area his entire life. He is the family member of hard-working, small business man, Alex Krywanczyk; whose family have run and owns Spanky‘s diner and the ice business known as Alex‘s ice.

Setcher holds a BA in public administration from the Rochester College of public administration, Albany, New York. He is a current Union Stuart For UPSFU 12/22. He’s a current caseworker in foster care handling a lot of the legal work in that system.

His platform is simple… Listen to his constituents, do the proper research on proposals, be transparent, and accountable. He will encourage responsible growth for our county that will not negatively affect our environment and future generations. His passion is in policy Analyzing, and he promises to read every word in every bill submitted by Congress.

I personally admire any young person who is willing to serve the public in politics. We need his knowledge and perspective for future generations. Setcher can be found as a Democrat running for St. Lawrence County legislature on Massena’s District 7 ballot and St. Lawrence County District 13 ballots. He has a nice sense of humor and often tells people to just vote for the person whose name you can’t pronounce.

He also maintains a social media presence on Facebook under Sketcher Krywanczyk for St. Lawrence County Legislature and can be met at many of the events being held in Massena that he attends.
