State Police also report charging Michael A. Coleman, 23, of Massena with one count fourth-degree grand larceny, fifth-degree conspiracy, and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration.
According to State Police, Lamay and Coleman were charged following investigation of an alleged larceny at the Massena Walmart location on May 30.
The investigation reportedly revealed that Lamay and Coleman entered the store and allegedly stole merchandise valued at $2,471.00, bypassing all points of purchase.
One of the two is reported to have exited the store first, while the second allegedly pushed a cart filled with merchandise outside. Upon noticing law enforcement, the first male quickly entered a vehicle and fled the scene, while the second male ran in the opposite direction. Both individuals reportedly ignored commands from law enforcement.
At the time of their arrests, Lamay and Coleman were already being held in St. Lawrence County Jail for an unrelated incident. They were transported from the jail to the Canton State Police station for processing and subsequently issued appearance tickets to appear before tin Potsdam Town Court in July.
Both were returned to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility.
