POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam is seeking a head coach for the Women’s Club Rugby team for the 2024-25 college year.

This is a part-time position.

Club rugby has a long running tradition on campus and is open to all interested students.

The successful candidate will be responsible to exhibit positive, professional leadership for all club rugby players with a goal of providing a safe, rewarding rugby team experience.

Job requirements & essential functions of the job:  

  • Ability to teach the game of rugby and provide positive mentoring to all club members.
  • Ability to teach the game of rugby and provide positive mentoring to all club members.
  • Emphasize that club leadership and members adhere to all SUNY Potsdam, SGA, Club Sport, and campus compliance policies.
  • Oversee and direct all aspects of coaching, practice planning, and game strategy.
  • Communicate with club members, SGA, Club Sports Director, and Maxcy Hall facility director for all team meeting, practice, and game campus facility reservations.

Applicants will require a bachelor’s degree and a current (or pending) Level 1 Rugby Coaching Certification (through National Collegiate Rugby – NCR).
