High pressure centered to our east will keep mainly dry conditions in place today across the St. Lawrence Valley, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Highs today will be around 72 with sunny skies, the service says. Overnight lows will be around 54 with an 80$ chance of rain.
There are chances for rain Wednesday and Thursday as a series of fronts move through, bringing one quarter to three quarters of an inch of rain, NWS says. Drier weather then returns by the end of the week.
After a brief cool down on Wednesday, temperatures will return to near normal for the remainder of the week, NWS says.

Tonight
Showers, mainly after 4am. Low around 54. Southeast wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Wednesday
Showers, mainly before noon. High near 64. Southeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Wednesday Night
Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 59. South wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Thursday
A 50 percent chance of showers before 5pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 71. South wind around 9 mph becoming west in the afternoon. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
