State police deal with numerous accidents on snowy Sunday

New York State troopers responded to accidents in Norfolk, Oswegatchie, Potsdam, Hammond during Sunday’s snowstorm.

State police said they responded to half a dozen motor vehicle accidents in St. Lawrence County Sunday during a winter storm.

Troopers reportedly responded to the following accidents:

  • Ashley L. Barajas, 29, Watertown, was involved in a property-damage accident on State Route 310 near Stark Road in Norfolk. Troopers responded shortly before 10:30 p.m.
  • Benjamin T. Mathews, 28, Surprise, Arizona, and Josiah Fifiels, 26, Ogdensburg were involved in a two vehicle crash on SH 37 in Oswegatchie. Troopers responded at 11:06 a.m. One person was injured, no details were given.
  • Jessica R. Lanning, 36, Colton and Ginney L. Green, 35, were the drivers in a two vehicle motor vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 11 in Potsdam around 11 a.m.
  • Timothy J. Damon, 62, Potsdam, was involved in an accident on SH 72 in Parishville around 3 p.m.
  • Terry R. Kerr, 66, Oswegatchie, was the driver in a motor vehicle crash on Irish Hill Road in Fine. Troopers received a call at 4:01 p.m. to respond.
  • Tammy L. Drummond, 57, Ogdensburg was involved in an accident on SR 12 in Hammond around 4:30 p.m.
  • Yancier A. Capetillo, no age listed, Syracuse, was involved in an accident on CR 4 in Oswegatchie around 6 p.m.

No tickets were reported in any of the above incidents.
