St. Lawrence County Democrats holding several events

St. Lawrence County Democrats recently opened campaign head quarters at 57 Market St., Potsdam, and have several events planned as the election nears.

On Oct. 10 the annual Democratic Fall Harvest Dinner and Salute to Labor at SUNY Potsdam Student Union 6-9 p.m.

St. Lawrence County Legislator Margaret Haggard, D-Potsdam,  will be given the Silas Wright Award at the dinner.

On Friday Oct. 11 Democratic Candidate Paula Collins running in New York’s 21st Congressional District coming to Potsdam at a time to be determined.

On  Oct. 13, at 5:15  p.m. Ribbon cutting for the official opening of the St. Lawrence County Democratic office at 57 Market St., Potsdam. It will be followed by a showing of “To Russia from Lev’ documentary produced by MSNBC Rachael Maddow at the SLC Democratic building.

"The film tells the story of Lev Parnas, the Ukrainian-born businessman who is who helped Rudy Giuliani dig up dirt about Joe Biden and his son Hunter overseas. That mission would eventually result in Donald Trump’s first impeachment, after the then-president pressed Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky to launch an investigation into the younger Biden’s tenure on the board of a Kyiv-based energy company. Parnas was later indicted on a charge of campaign finance violations," an excerpt from the Washington Post says.

On Saturday October. 19 a rally will be held in support of Proposition 1 in Ives park at from 3 to 5 p.m.
