MASSENA -- Exotic animals, a petting zoo, wagon rides, bounce houses and more were offered at the annual, free Wildlife Festival held at Hawkins Point at Hawkins Point Visitors Center, Massena, Saturday, Sept. 28.
A large boa constrictor attracted a lot of attention, with many attendees wrapping it around them. Many other live reptiles were on display, as well as farm animals such as alpacas and a goat.
Wagon rides, a miniature train ride and bounce houses were big hits at the festival as well.
Many attendees were also drawn to the displays inside the Hawkins Point Visitors Center. Visitors pedaled a stationary bike to see how much electricity they could generate. They saw how electricity creates magnetism in another hands-on display.
The festival was organized by the NY Power Authority.
