POTSDAM — The Rotary Club of Potsdam will host its first vendor/craft fair to benefit its literacy programs on Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Market Square Mall, 22 Depot St.
Rotary literacy programs include the distribution of books at Fright Night in October and again during the Potsdam Holiday Fund Santa's Workshop in December.
Potsdam Rotarians have read to elementary students in the past as well and a reading program for seniors is currently being considered.
Vendors will be offered a 6-foot-deep by 8-foot-wide area in the mall for a prepayment of $20. Download a registration form at bit.ly/craft-vendor-2024.
Rotary accepts credit card payments at bit.ly/potsdam-rotary or a check can be mailed to Potsdam Rotary, PO Box 912, Potsdam NY 13676.
All payments and registration forms MUST be received by March 30. A vendor is considered registered when a confirmation email is sent to them with the assigned booth number.
Vendors may begin set up at 8 a.m. and are responsible for supplying their own tables, chairs and display racks. Vendor areas are to be manned from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Because space is limited and the club wants to offer a variety of vendors, only area one per organization will be offered. Unfortunately, there are no electrical outlets available.
The Village Diner will offer "grab 'n' go" specials that day and there will be a book exchange for adults, with the Rotary Lil Free Library available for children.
Bookmarks will be given away while supplies last.
