POTSDAM -- Drag queens, live music, and special sales at local businesses downtown will be part of Potsdam Palooza, a collaboration between SUNY Potsdam and Clarkson University formerly called First Night, set for Saturday, Sept. 7, from 1-5 p.m.
Local businesses offering free samples to college students and other giveaways. Visit 8 businesses to be entered into a drawing for a $100 village of Potsdam gift card (SUNY Potsdam or Clarkson University student ID required).
Live entertainment on Market Street will feature a drag show, and music by A Sharp Arrangement, Crane Latin Ensemble, On the Moon, the Pep Band and Red Hooks.
There will be food for sale and vendors selling goods.
This will be the first time the two colleges have held such an event since 2020 when it was halted due to the pandemic.
