OGDENSBURG – In response to a notable increase in COVID-19 cases and other respiratory illnesses in the community, Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center (CHMC) staff are taking immediate precautions to ensure the health and safety of staff, patients, and community.
Effective Friday, Sept. 20, all CHMC staff and providers will be wearing masks on the medical campuses. These measures are being implemented to safeguard the well-being of the healthcare team and the patients who rely on the medical center for their care. CHMC strongly encourages patients and visitors to wear masks as well.
Given these precautions, it is recommended that guests attending the Recovery Addiction Celebration Dinner on Monday, Sept. 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Ogdensburg Elks Club consider wearing masks. While mask-wearing is not mandatory, masks will be available for anyone who chooses to wear one. This step is being taken out of an abundance of caution to protect our community and ensure everyone’s safety.
