POTSDAM — The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce will host Fright Night on Thursday, October 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. in downtown.
This family-friendly community tradition will bring trick-or-treating, decorated trunks, activities, costume contests and entertainment to Market Street and the Market Square Mall.
Businesses, organizations, athletic teams and community groups are invited to participate by decorating a trunk, handing out treats, hosting an activity or welcoming trick-or-treaters at their storefront. Participants must register by Friday, Oct. 16.
“We’ve already heard from several groups excited to participate this year,” said Melanie Flack, Executive Director of the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce. “Fright Night is a wonderful opportunity for local businesses and organizations to connect with families and help create a fun, safe evening for our community.”
Businesses that cannot attend may still support the event by sponsoring candy or non-candy giveaways for a group that would like to participate. The Chamber currently has groups interested in hosting trunks that are seeking sponsors.
Participants and sponsors can register at www.potsdamchamber.com.
Fright Night is free and open to the public.
