To the Editor:
The Norfolk-Raymondville Food Pantry would like to thank the Northern New York Community Foundation for its $1000 grant towards the purchase of food from the Food Bank of Central New York, specifically meats, fruits and vegetables, cereals, breads, dairy products, as well as dry goods such as pancake mix, pasta, and rice.
The NRFP is a five day pantry, providing 15 meals per family member on our distribution days (the 3rd Saturday of each month, 9-11 AM). We are also available for emergency calls, making arrangements to meet at a mutually convenient time. Our pantry exists solely due to the generosity of our donors, volunteers, and grants received. It is housed in the Norfolk United Methodist Church, 9 W. Main St, Norfolk.
Our December distribution served 66 households (39 children, 53 adults, and 45 seniors, for a total of 2055 meals). The Norfolk-Raymondville Food Pantry gratefully acknowledges this generous gift.
