POTSDAM – After much anticipation and work over the past two years, Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH) says its new main entrance off Grove Street will open to the public on Tuesday, October 15.
In preparation of the opening, a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held Oct. 7 with approximately 200 community members, team members, dignitaries, and political representatives on-site to mark the occasion. Prior to this event, the new CPH Emergency Department opened its doors to the public Sept. 17.
The opening of the new main entrance/lobby/registration on Oct. 15 also begins the movement of patients from the older east wing to the new west wing. All medical/surgical inpatients will be relocated by Tuesday, Oct. 22. As a reminder, the Critical Care Unit, and Observation Unit patient beds will remain in their current locations.
The undertaking of the Regional Care Pavilion, or new west wing, construction project by Rochester Regional Health’s St. Lawrence Region team, has been a combined effort of every department throughout CPH.
