POTSDAM -- Internationally recognized materials scientist Yury Gogotsi will visit Clarkson University on Oct. 15 to deliver the 2026 Shipley Distinguished Lecture, offering the Clarkson and North Country communities an opportunity to hear from a pioneer in the development of an emerging class of advanced materials. The lecture, “Two-Dimensional Materials: Building the Technology of Tomorrow,” will begin at 5 p.m. in Room 362 of Clarkson’s Science Center. Gogotsi is widely known for pioneering the discovery and development of MXenes, a rapidly expanding family of two-dimensional materials with potential applications in energy storage, electronics, sensing, environmental remediation and other technologies.
