CANTON - Just one week after accepting a bid to pave a stretch of the Miner Street Road, work is set to begin Thursday, Oct. 3.
Canton Town Supervisor Mary Ann Ashley reported this morning that Paverite, Copenhagen, will begin the road preparation work tomorrow.
Weather permitted, paving will take place Friday, Oct. 4, and Saturday, Oct. 5. Paving work will continue (weather permitting), on Monday, Oct. 7, and Tuesday, Oct. 8.
Ashley asks the public to respect the construction zone signage and highway staff, and plan travel accordingly. There will be expected delays and lane closures.
The town board accepted the low bid from Paverite for $492,775 at a Sept. 26 meeting.
