MASSENA — The Northern New York Power Proceeds Allocation Board will meet Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 4 p.m. in the conference room of the New York Power Authority’s Massena office at 2 Water St., in The Mercantile Building.
The board is expected to make funding recommendations under the Northern New York Power Proceeds Allocation Act, which was signed into law Dec. 29, 2014.
The act directs net earnings from the market sale of unutilized hydropower from the Power Authority’s St. Lawrence-FDR Power Project to support economic development in St. Lawrence County.
The meeting is open to the public under the state Open Meetings Law. It also can be viewed online at nypa.gov by selecting “View Meetings.”
