CHASE MILLS -- Margaret A. Harvey, 85, of Chase Mills, NY, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Rochester Regional Hospital, Potsdam.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service per Margaret’s request.
Burial will be open to the public on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 1:00 pm in the
Madrid Cemetery - Harvey family plot, State Highway 345 in Madrid, NY.
Arrangements for Margaret are under the direction and guidance of the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena.
Born on March 10, 1941, in Waddington to Clifford and Myrtle (Irish) Mayette. Margaret graduated from Madrid School.
She married George Harvey Jr. Margaret was mostly a stay-at-home mother, raising her children and running the household.
In addition, she enjoyed working out of the home as a private home-health-care aide throughout the North Country. She enjoyed playing cards, crafting in her earlier years, loved yard work and working with flowers in her garden.
Margaret is survived by her children; Georgia and husband, Dan of Madrid, NY; George D. and companion, Bobbi Smith of Madrid; Clifford and Amie Cuthbert of Madrid. Her grandchildren, Kurt Bjork, Kyle Bjork & companion, Julie Pittsley, Koby Bjork; Cozetta Harvey and Eliza Harvey. Her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Sebastian, Tegan and Bradyn Bjork. Her siblings, Fred Mayette of Waddington, Patsy Sharlow of Waddington; Terry and Kim Mayette of Waddington, and Bonnie McElwain of Waddington. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George in 2001, her sisters, Marion Vallance, Lois Mayette, and a sister Evelyn and a brother, Clifford Mayette Jr.
