WINTHROP -- Robert J. Meacham, 77, left us peacefully on October 13, 2026, at the North Country Rehabilitation Center in Massena.
Born on August 25, 1949, in Massena, NY, Bob was the son of the late Frederick and Elenia (Raymond) Meacham.
He graduated from Massena High School in 1968, and served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Longbeach for four years.
He retired as a supervisor at ALCOA in Massena, where he dedicated 34 years of his life.
He took great pride in his work and cherished the friendships he built along the way.
He enjoyed playing old-timers softball, fishing, and woodworking. But Bob’s greatest joy came from his family and dogs.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Debra Meacham, and their two daughters, Kristin (Peter) McLean and Melissa LaBrake. He was a doting grandfather to his granddaughters, Marissa, Madison, and Melanie McLean, and his grandson, Brandon LaBrake. He is survived by two sisters, Linda and Nancy, and was predeceased by a brother, Chris.
Bob’s family will honor his life privately but those who wish, please consider donations in his memory to Seaway Parkinson’s Coalition, P.O. Box 564, Massena, NY 13662 or the Potsdam Humane Society.
Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop, where memories and condolences can be shared at www.hammillfh.com.
