CANTON -- Kathy Hochul, Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s running mate for lieutenant governor, will be the keynote speaker at the St. Lawrence County Democratic Committee’s annual dinner Friday, Oct. 10 at SUNY Canton.
Hochul is a former Buffalo-area member of Congress who was chosen in a special election in 2011 to replace a Republican who resigned the seat. She was defeated by another Republican in 2011. From 2007 to 2011, she was Erie County Clerk. Since last year, she has worked for M&T Bank. Cuomo chose her to be his running make on the November ballot.
At the dinner, Hochul will share in honoring the committee’s 2014 Silas Wright Award recipients, former chair of the St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators Sallie brothers and her husband Tom Brothers of Norfolk.
Attendance is by advance reservation only. Anyone interested in attending who is not now on the committee’s mailing list may make inquiries to slcdemdinner@gmail.com. Tickets are $50 per person for dinner.
Information on a pre-dinner VIP reception with elected representatives is available by email to the above address.
