Lindsey N. (Fox) Rufa, 28, Ogdensburg

OGDENSBURG -- Lindsey N. (Fox) Rufa, 28, sadly lost her valiant battle against colorectal cancer Thursday morning, August 22, 2024, at her home, where was under the loving care of her husband and her grandmother, Cassie.

Lindsey was born September 16, 1995, in Fredonia, the daughter of Layne Fox and Peggy Rose.

She was a graduate of Fredonia Central School and continued her education at SUNY Brockport earning her Bachelors in Social Work, later graduating from PennWest Edinboro with her Master’s in Social Work.

While at SUNY Brockport, she met her future husband, Gian.

After graduation, they moved back to Gian’s hometown of Ogdensburg, where she worked as a school counselor for the Ogdensburg City School District for 2 years.

After the birth of her daughter, Lindsey started her most important “job” in her life, a dedicated mother to her beautiful babies. Her love for her babies was immeasurable and she brought so much joy to their lives as well as the life of anyone who she encountered.

Her smile lit up the room and will be remembered fondly by so many.

Lindsey is survived by her loving husband, Gian; and their beautiful babies, Alaya, Delilah, and Miles; her mother, Peggy (Jeff) Baker; her father, Layne (Kelly Gibbons) Fox; her grandmothers, Cassie Rose (Skip) and Llonna Hanley; her brother, Brandyn Fox; her half siblings, Jenni and Matthew Fox; Gian’s parents, David and Wendy Rufa; Gian’s brothers, Quinn, Nolan (Krissy), and Julian (Jaylene); and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her grandfathers.

Arrangements are under the love, care, and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, however, at her request there will be no services at this time.
