Kinney Drugs is implementing a child-friendly approach to flu shots.

The theme is “Find Flemy before he finds you.” Each week, every Kinney will hide one cardboard cutout of their flu mascot, Flemy the Flu Monster, somewhere for kids to seek and find.

To start their mission, pick up a game board at Kinney Drugs. Then, search the store for Flemy, who will be hiding in a new location every week and moving every Sunday.

Once he’s found, tell a Kinney associate where you found Flemy to earn a sticker for that week, along with $1 in “Kinney Cash” to spend.

To become a Flu-Free Champion, collect at least four stickers before October 31, then turn in the completed game board at any register at any Kinney Drugs location to be entered to win one of three Grand Prizes of $100 Kinney gift cards!

Kids and families do not need to make a purchase or book a vaccination appointment to participate in the Find Flemy scavenger hunt. Anyone is welcome to participate. (A parent or guardian age 18+ needs to accept the prize on behalf of a child.)

To help make the actual vaccination moment feel a little less intimidating, kids can hold also onto a fun Flemy squeeze ball during their vaccination. And there’s another fun surprise at the end of this experience.

Flu appointments can be scheduled at KinneyDrugs.com, or by using the Kinney Drugs app. When booking online, click on the Flemy banner right on the home page. A list of stores is available on the website, or you may search by zip code. Walk-in appointments are also available at all neighborhood Kinney Drugs locations.

Customers can learn more by visiting KinneyDrugs.com, downloading the new Kinney Drugs app, or speaking with their local Kinney Drugs pharmacy team.
