Kenneth James Crobar, 84, Heuvelton

HEUVELTON -- A Masonic Service for Kenneth James Crobar, age 84, of Heuvelton, NY, will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 4:00PM at Frary Funeral Home.

Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 200PM until the time of the service.

Mr. Crobar passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Albany Medical Center Hospital.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Stephen Crobar and wife, Deborah, Heuvelton, NY, Jeffrey Crobar and his significant other, Kimberly O'Connor, of Heuvelton, NY, Heather Montroy and her husband, Mark, of Lisbon, NY, and Melissa Crobar and significant other, Scott River, of Rensselaer Falls, NY; his step-children, Charles Mitchell of Heuvelton, NY, Tim Mitchell and his wife, Lisa, of McLean, Virginia and Cathy Otis and her husband, Bill, of Ogdensburg, NY; a niece, Lori Ashley and her husband, Aaron, of Heuvelton, NY; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and cousins. He is predeceased by a sister, Judith A. (Crobar) Sporbert.

Kenneth was born on July 29, 1940, in Ogdensburg, NY, the son of the late James A. and Loretta M. (Shananhan) Crobar. 

He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy.

Kenneth's first marriage was to Linda Dodge from Ogdensburg, followed by a marriage to Nancy Woodcock, both of which ended in divorce.

He later married Jane Mitchell (Meechum), who predeceased him on July 17, 2009.

Kenneth was first employed in the laundry at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center then transferred to the plumbing shop at St. Lawrence State Hospital in Ogdensburg, NY, which he later retired from.
