MASSENA -- The Massena Fire Department has received a $5,000 donation from Air Products, Inc. to sponsor the department’s 2024 Fundraising Golf Tournament.
"This significant contribution highlights Air Products' continued commitment to the local community and its vital role in supporting the first responders who serve and protect it," Massena Fire officials wrote.
Fire Chief Patrick O'Brien expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing how crucial partnerships like the one with Air Products are for ensuring the department has the resources necessary to address the increasing complexity and volume of emergency calls.
“This donation will not only help make our 2024 fundraising golf tournament a success but also ensure our department can continue to invest in the tools, equipment, and training our firefighters to keep the community safe,” Chief O'Brien said.
The collaborative relationship between Air Products and the Massena Fire Department demonstrates a shared dedication to the well-being of the community, officials said.
“We are proud to support the Massena Fire Department,” Air Products officials wrote.
“Our first responders are at the heart of the community, and ensuring they have the resources they need to respond effectively is essential to all of us.”
As the call volumes for the Massena Fire Department continue to rise and the complexities of emergency situations grow, donations like this are instrumental in keeping the department well-prepared and equipped, Massena Fire officials said.
Events like the Firehouse Cup help bridge the gap between community needs and available resources.
